We, the Florida Horticulture for Health Network, support horticulture for health initiatives in Florida and beyond through networking, knowledge exchange and capacity building. We believe that horticulture and nature interventions can increase quality of life for people regardless of age, ability or background.
Our vision: to promote activities and link organizations, to both each other and available resources that use horticulture to improve health including: therapeutic horticulture and horticultural therapy, landscapes for health, nature therapy, emerging professional support, allied horticulture and health services, community and school gardens, and food security initiatives.
Generative AI Policy for All FLHHN Publications Florida Horticulture for Health Network (FLHHN) does not use or condone the use of generative AI tools for writing and publishing articles on any of its platforms. “As journalists we eschew the use of generative AI in our published work” (Civil Eats.com, 2026). Like other organizations and publications, guidelines have been developed for the use of generative AI, identified below, with expectations that contributors be transparent (ensuring readers know if, when, and how AI is used), accurate (ensuring any work created with the help of AI is truthful and accurate), responsible (ensuring that the use of AI does not infringe on others’ work, data, or privacy), and that privacy be protected (ensuring that any use of AI tools protects our own proprietary data as well as readers’ personal information). We request that authors disclose any use of generative AI in their research, reporting, or writing process—and refrain from using generative AI or LLMs in their processes.
